Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-11
The short version. ItsCOD - COD Orders to Sheets exports your Shopify orders to Google Sheets in your own Google Drive. Use it fairly, keep your store compliant, and pay for the plan you pick. You can stop any time by uninstalling the app.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you — the merchant installing the app on a Shopify store — and the developer of ItsCOD - COD Orders to Sheets ("the app", "we", "us"). By installing or using the app you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, do not install or use the app.
2. The service
The app exports orders and draft orders from your Shopify store to Google Sheets. When you connect your Google account, the app creates a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive and writes order rows to it in near real time. The spreadsheets belong to you; we never take ownership of your data.
How we handle data — including Google user data — is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
3. Your account and eligibility
- You must operate a Shopify store in good standing and comply with Shopify's own Terms of Service.
- To use the Google Sheets export you must connect a Google account you own or are authorized to use, and comply with Google's Terms of Service.
- You are responsible for everyone you give access to your store and, through it, to the app.
4. Plans and billing
- The app offers a free Starter plan with monthly usage limits (synced orders), and paid plans with higher limits. Current prices and limits are always shown on the app's billing page inside the Shopify admin.
- Paid subscriptions are billed through Shopify's billing system and appear on your Shopify invoice. We never see or store your payment details.
- You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the app's billing page; uninstalling the app also ends your paid subscription per Shopify's billing rules.
- Usage counters reset monthly. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not reset the free plan's quota.
5. Google account connection
The Google connection uses the minimal drive.file permission: the app can only see and edit spreadsheets it created. You can disconnect at any time inside the app — which revokes our access with Google — or revoke access from your Google Account's security settings. Spreadsheets already created remain yours in your Drive either way.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app for anything unlawful, or to process data you have no right to process;
- attempt to probe, overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the app or its infrastructure;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the app to third parties outside your own store's operation;
- circumvent plan limits, billing, or usage counting.
We may suspend or terminate access for stores that violate these rules or put the service or other merchants at risk.
7. Your responsibilities
You remain the controller of your store's and customers' data. You are responsible for disclosing your use of order-export tooling in your own customer-facing privacy notice where required, for the accuracy of the data in your store, and for anything you do with the exported spreadsheets afterwards.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its code, design, and branding remain our property. Your store data, your configuration, and the spreadsheets created in your Drive remain yours. Neither side grants the other any rights beyond what these Terms state.
9. Service availability and changes
We work to keep the app available and syncing reliably, but the service depends on third parties (Shopify and Google APIs) and is provided without an uptime guarantee. We may add, change, or remove features, and may discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — such as lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the three months before the claim arose.
11. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store. On uninstall, your sessions and Google connection are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend access if you materially breach these Terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
